The Call Of Duty League Championship Weekend is upon us. It starts on August 29th. 4 teams have qualified, but only one will clinch all the glory. Atlanta FaZe and Dallas Empire have looked strong throughout the League.
However, the London Royal Ravens and Chicago Huntsmen will look to stop their glorious run and usurp the crown. With all the build-up to the ultimate event, tragedy struck yesterday. The MP5 got a ninja nerf and Infinity Ward didn’t say a word.
Additionally, there have been reports that even the thermal scopes have been tweaked. Since our discussion is about the CDL we will stick to the MP5. All pros who use SMGs use only the MP5. For most, it is the best gun in the game.
The MP5 has a greater fire speed and high mobility. Once you learn to nullify its recoil pattern, the gun is an absolute beast.

The MP5 was nerfed a few times in the past. In addition, its range has also been tweaked a few times. Yet it remains the go-to weapon for pros. The recent nerf did two things to the MP5. Firstly, the ADS zoom was increased. The rear iron sight looks bigger and the body of the gun looks much closer.
Secondly, people are complaining about the recoil change. It is unclear whether the recoil has increased or the pattern has changed. Esports insider Rod Breslau posted on Twitter that Infinity Ward did tweak the gun and is asking for the opinion of the pros.
Infinity Ward made a gameplay change to Call of Duty (mp5) four days before CoD Championships without saying anything, pros noticed and had to ask about it first, and now all CDL teams are being asked if they want to revert. IW must be jealous of Epic's work with pro Fortnite

How will this affect Call Of Duty Champs?
Pros have all the right to be annoyed with the game right now. 3 days are left for the champs and a weapon change is simply unacceptable. Scump of the Chicago Huntsmen showed his frustration politely on Twitter.
So the mp5 isn’t getting reverted for playoffs. Lol

Says the AR

Since the pros have better things to worry about now, let me break it down to you. Recoil patterns take time to master. Only after hours and hours of practice can a player master a gun’s recoil to the ability that all shots hit.
When pros play, it is of paramount importance that all shots hit. Otherwise, they will lose. It is that simple.
A player who has found a comfort zone will find it difficult to adjust to a new sight. Especially if it is 3 days before a tournament. While they need to practice on different maps and modes, the SMG runners will additionally need to master the gun from scratch.
Do not be surprised if you find Envoy or Shotzzy using ARs during the Champs. Everything said and done, this is not looking like a good year for Call Of Duty. So expect the unexpected.
