The NBA has had a history of jerseys that fans couldn’t stand. Some were so bad that even players and owners complained about them. Whether its bad design or just a bad choice of colors, the league has witnessed some horrendous jerseys. Here are our top 10 (in no order) of some of the worst jerseys ever worn in the league.
Los Angeles Clippers (2015)
The Clippers Road Red uniforms back in 2015 were a bit unsettling. With the logo and the number close to each other, the minimal approach seemed like a minimal effort in the end.
Atlanta Hawks (1995-1999)
The Atlanta Hawks recent uniforms have drawn some fire but these classic jerseys from the late 90s are much worse. The placement of the logo, team name, and the number is cramped up, and the pants just make it worse.
Milwaukee Bucks (1990s)
The Milwaukee Bucks have had their share of ugly jerseys but this one takes the cake. Not only does the color combination throw you off, but the image of the deer adds to the misery.
Sacramento Kings (2005)
Rivals of the purple and gold Los Angeles Lakers, the Sacramento Kings decided to have their own purple and gold jerseys in 2005. But the experiment failed badly, and these uniforms were termed as one of the worst ever.
Memphis Grizzlies (2011)
In the 2011-12 season, the Memphis Grizzlies revealed the Memphis Tams throwback jerseys which turned out to be a flop. The combination of yellow jerseys and green shorts look very mismatched and looks more of an AAU jersey.
Dallas Mavericks (2003)
These Dallas Mavericks jerseys were so bad, that even owner Mark Cuban publically called it “wet garbage bags” and took it off the markets after just a single game.
Washington Wizards (2006)
The Washington Wizards used these jerseys from 2006 to 2009, subjecting fans to multiple years of these ugly uniforms. Black and gold is a solid color combo but surprisingly the Wizards managed to ruin that.
Toronto Raptors (2012)
The Toronto Raptors wore these jerseys for Military Night back in 2012, and fans will be happy it was just a one-off event. Multiple teams have had camo jerseys but none of them have managed to pull it off.
San Antonio Spurs (2013)
The San Antonio Spurs have a neat camo city jersey this season. But this 2013 one was so bad that reportedly Kawhi Leonard himself said that they could have done a better job.
Every NBA sleeve jersey ever
Throughout the last decade, the NBA has had many sleeved jerseys. But nothing good has come out of them. Multiple players like Dirk Nowitzki and LeBron James have openly criticized them as well, not just for the looks but also for the discomfort caused by the sleeves. And if LeBron complains, the whole league rallies behind it.
