In recent times, more often than not wrestlers who have transferred to AEW from WWE have spoken out about the varying management styles. One such wrestler who always speaks the truth and points the difference to the last inch is Jon Moxley.
Jon Moxley gives his verdict about WWE’s problem
Dave Meltzer and Jon Moxley got together for a session on Wrestling Observer Radio. It is in this session that Moxley does not hesitate to point to the core of WWE’s problem.
Meltzer subtly hints to the fact that everyone knows what the company’s problem is. On the other hand, Jon Moxley does not hold back.
”We know what their problem is. One person, three letters, VKM, that’s the problem [Vincent Kennedy McMahon]. Until he’s gone or relinquishes control, it’s just not going to change.”
The AEW champion compares WWE with AEW
Not only is Jon Moxley directly pointing at Vince McMahon for the downfall of the company, but also compares WWE as a whole to AEW.
He believes that WWE is the one who should have mastered the art of providing the best content in terms of wrestling to the audience. However, the smaller company led by Tony Khan is has made leaps and is surpassing WWE every passing day.
In fact, he thinks that if he was in charge of WWE, he would not just focus on changing the external features such as arenas but would think about making the content better. Currently, what AEW is providing to the audience is much better in terms of quality in comparison to WWE.
“If I was in the other company, I mean running the other company, I would be looking at this going like ‘this should not happen, I’m embarrassed this happens. We got to make changes.’ As opposed to their thing of we got to every change other than changing the product which is kind of like that’s where my first change would be. If I go like ‘somebody is kicking my a** on the product’ and you know, I’m going to figure out, not copy them, but figure out a new way to do it.”
