“They’re Going home”: Former NBA Champion Predicts Game is Over For Philadelphia 76ers

Philadelphia 76ers made it to the playoffs but haven’t been a promising candidate against the Celtics. They are down by 3-0 and a comeback isn’t expected from them in the following series.

The Sixers clinched a playoff spot after winning four out of eight seeding games. Eastern standings set up their fixture against the Boston Celtics that proved to be a one-sided affair.

In the last match, Game 3 of the playoff series, Philadelphia looked close to Celtics for the first time in the series. But that too slipped off their hands when Kemba Walker made his moves in the latter half. Kemba bagged 24 points in that match that led the Celtics to a 102-94 win.

Despite Tatum’s foul issues in the second quarter, Philadelphia couldn’t take advantage of his absence.

Joel Embiid was the only hope for 76ers, scoring 30 points and 13 rebounds in the last match. But the second-half saw him drained out of bounds. The Sixers were reduced to another defeat against the likes of Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and others.

Kendrick Perkins calls it off for Bett Brown and the Philadelphia 76ers

While Sixers are in a disappointing position in the playoffs, ESPN analyst Kendrick Perkins calls it ‘over’ for them. He is absolutely mocking the way Philadelphia has paved their way out of the league.

“It’s over. Bett Brown is over. The Sixers are over…Cancel Christmas. They’re going home.”

It would take an NBA record for Sixers to make a comeback in the series that is 3-0 at this point. Game 4 seems the end for them and that’s what most predict out of their miserable scenario.

Since the very beginning, Sixers weren’t a strong lineup for such a competitive playoff series. Their rebuilding process is surely taking a toll on them. It will take Bett Brown some refreshed moves to build a better roster for next season.
