WWE SmackDown Live results: The latest episode of WWE Smackdown Live Kicked-off Vince McMahon at backstage had a chat with Adam Pearce related to tonight’s contract signing that will take place for Sunday’s WWE Universal Championship match.
On the another segment we had Jeff Hardy who was in the ring to celebration and promo his victory over AJ Styles last week on SmackDown for Intercontinental Championship. However, that promo did not last very long as AJ Styles marked his ways towards the ring and bragged about that he is the greatest IC that WWE has had ever. But that bragging turned into brawl and we found out that Shinsuke Nakamura faced Jeff Hardy for his Intercontinental Championship and AJ Styles joined them at ringside on com box.

Adam Pearce opened the show by prepping security for a “combustible night.” He then entered a room with Vince McMahon, who gave him Pearce the task of getting the signatures on the contract before the night is over. McMahon suggested Pearce start with “The Fiend,” or Bray Wyatt, whoever was easiest to find.
