Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder are contractually bound to meet for the third time. ‘The Gypsy King’ has bigger things to achieve if he overcomes the challenge of Wilder for the third time. However, Fury still finds time to troll Wilder on social media.
The two met for the second time in the ring earlier this year in February. The Brit knocked down Wilder twice before his corner threw the towel in the seventh round. Fury’s performance in the rematch has been talked about as one of heavyweight boxing’s finest ever. On the other hand, the Bronze Bomber would’ve left the arena with multiple questions looming over him.
The trilogy between the two was originally planned for July 18 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. However, the event could not take place after the world went sideways due to the coronavirus pandemic. A revised date was selected as October 3. However, even that couldn’t happen. As of now the date of the fight is December 19.
As the date of the fights looms closer, Fury is taking to his social media to hype the fight. In his latest post, he referred to the Bronze Bomber as a ‘dosser’.

Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder could be postponed to 2021
Top Rank CEO Bob Arum wishes to stage the trilogy between the champion and the challenger in front of an audience. If the same is not possible in December, he doesn’t mind moving the trilogy to next year.
The situation with the COVID-19 isn’t looking very bright as of now. The chances of a safe vaccine coming out this year look bleak. Therefore, Arum will have to make a decision soon. The boxing promoter has also told SiriusXM Boxing that he plans to stage the fight in some country other than the U.S.A. or U.K.
Fury will look to get pass Wilder as early as possible. This is because a chance to unify the belts awaits him on the other side of the victory. A possible hurdle before the Anthony Joshua fight might come in the form of Dillian Whyte. However, after Whyte’s loss over Alexander Povetkin, there is nothing certain about that fight.
