With the dawn of September, Joe Rogan has officially arrived on Spotify. The UFC commentator received tons of well-wishes for the big step-up. UFC President Dana White also congratulated Rogan for the lucrative switch.
A few months ago, it was made official that Rogan had signed a licensing deal with Spotify. Worth around $100 million, the deal will move ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ to Spotify from September. The old episodes are still available on YouTube. However, beginning next year the podcast will become a Spotify exclusive.
It has taken a lot of hard work on the part of Joe to reach the stage where he is at today. His podcast has become a cultural phenomenon owing to the vast majority of guests that show up. White congratulated Rogan and also wished him the very best.

Not all the episodes of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ could make it to Spotify
With the exclusivity that came with the deal, fans were worried about the podcast being caught in corporatization. The speculations only grew after the fans realized that some episodes haven’t been able to make it to Spotify.
The missing episodes are also the ones that have been heavily criticized. Episodes featuring people associated with the “alt-right”, such as Gavin McInnes, Alex Jones, and Stefan Molyneux are missing. The episode featuring Mikhaila Peterson, Jordan Peterson’s daughter and an advocate of quack diet, was also missing.
However, Spotify later uploaded her episode. It is unclear if the other missing episodes will have the same fate or not. It is also not clear as to whose decision it was to remove the episodes in the first place – Joe Rogan’s or Spotify’s.
Apart from this hiccup, the show is up and running. There have already been two episodes released on Spotify. The first one is a marathon five-hour episode with Duncan Trussell. The second and the latest one is with Miley Cyrus.
