Luis Ortiz will reportedly return to action against Scott Alexander on November 7 in an undercard bout.
Breaking a hiatus of almost a year, Ortiz will look forward to bouncing back into the win column. He suffered his second loss of pro career against Deontay Wilder in November 2019, in an unsuccessful title attempt.
However, ‘King Kong’ is still one of the looming heavyweights of the roster and can be a considerable threat for anyone in-ring.

BoxingScene has broken the news, sending fight fans into a frenzy. While Andy Ruiz Jr will headline the reported PPV against Chris Arreola, Ortiz will highlight the undercard.
However, it might be a bit absurd to place a heavyweight veteran like Ortiz in the undercard. Especially when he has knocked out veterans with a brink. That said, his second loss against Wilder has brought a major impact on his dominance.
The 41-year-old Cuban is considered having past his prime by many. Despite that, he can still shock the world, like he was about to do in his re-match against Deontay Wilder. If you remember Wilder vs Ortiz 2, there’s no denying that ‘King Kong’ was clearly overpowering ‘The Bronze Bomber’.
Ortiz was also leading over Wilder on papers. His scores were on a lead of 59-55, 59-55, and 58-56. Yet, Wilder’s right hand was too much to handle for the Cuban. Taking just one shot like that, Ortiz fell on the canvas and lost the fight.

Alexander is currently on a two-fight win streak, defeating Derek Cardenas and Luis David Rodriguez back to back. If he vanquishes Ortiz, it will possibly be the biggest win of Alexander’s career. Well, it might not be as easy as it sounds.
