Billy Slater has urged Cameron Munster's Queensland teammates to be prepared at all times as the Maroons look to seal a stunning Origin series win in Game 2.
Munster scored a try in Queensland's shock 18-10 Game 1 victory last week, and once again looms as the key for what is an extremely young Maroons side.
Slater touched back to Munster's Origin debut, back in the Game 3 decider in 2017, where the Storm star was involved in three tries, and explained why teammates had to stay alive.
"If we have a look at Cameron Munster's debut game back in 2017 it was a decider and a huge occasion with huge pressure," he said on his Billy's Breakdown segment for Wide World of Sports.
"Cameron Munster was involved in three tries, and it was a key to playing alongside Cameron Munster that they scored the try.
"He's got a great ability of getting the ball to the right spot at the right time. In his second try involvement he was the key factor. The other thing he's really good at is reacting to a defensive line. He goes to work with his strength and balance.
"He is an instinctive player and he reacts to defensive lines. You've got to stay alive when you're playing alongside Cameron Munster.
"Expect to be in the game before you even know it and without notice."
Slater also lauded Munster's anticipation, highlighting it as the key reason for his Game 1 try which ultimately put Queensland out of reach.
"Cameron Munster's game-awareness and anticipation puts him in this position," he said.
"Many people may say he's in the right spot at the right time, but when many Queenslanders are retreating back to the defensive line, Cameron Munster stays up in his position, puts himself in the game and he gets the reward."
